Ignacia Zordan’s fourth collection represents a turning point for the brand. Maintaining the original spirit of the label, the brand expands its wardrobe, offering new pieces and perspectives with a focus on the upper and warmer layers to emphasize on texture and comfort. Invoking the dynamic relationship between body, artistic act and self-representation, Ignacia Zordan delivers the next development in her collection with daily essentials and wardrobe-making statements. This season, the designer is enlarging her spectrum of fabrics with a fresh use of Rib. This material offers a textured relief effect treated with a metallic layer of paint that echoes the graphics prints and quilt designs of past seasons. Mesh, an essential material to the brand, used for its comfort and fluidity, is also incorporated using raw cut edges to highlight the natural fall of the fabric. An organic feeling characterizes the collection, expressed through natural fabrics and a strong interest in integrating skin into the clothing. Perforations and cuts let the body interact with the material in a dynamic relationship. These natural elements are placed in contradiction to an aesthetic connected to futurism as it was imagined in the 60s and 70s, as well as references to the violence of a post-apocalyptic world with the militaristic uniform representing a form of protection and power. The result is a collection that reflects the contemporary woman: invested in finding balance and harmony in her lifestyle, actively involved, powerful, sexy and elegant.
